CHARITIES

Our method for raising money for charity is to “sell” leis and flip-flop necklaces whenever our club makes a public appearance, such as a booth at a street festival. (Get “lei’d by a Parrot Head for a local charity!)

Thus far, the Hungry Mother Parrot Head Club has made contributions to the Red Cross for Hurricane Relief, to the Smyth County Free Clinic, and the Southwest Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank.

We believe in “Community Service with a Tropical Spirit”, so our club will focus on fundraising and volunteer opportunities for charities in and around Southwest Virginia.
